About the Author

Dr. Nahikian-Nelms is currently a professor of clinical health and rehabilitation sciences and the Director of Academic Affairs in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences-College of Medicine at The Ohio State University. She has practiced as a dietitian and public health nutritionist for over 35 years. She is the lead author for several textbooks and is the author of peer-reviewed journal articles and chapters for other texts. Her clinical expertise focuses on development and practice of evidence based nutrition therapy for both pediatric and adult populations as well as the development of alternative teaching environments for students within their clinical training. Dr. Nahikian-Nelms serves as one of the leads for Interprofessional Education (IPE) and has contributed to the design of multiple simulations and IPE experiences within the seven health science colleges at Ohio State University. Dr. Nahikian-Nelms has received the Ohio State University Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching, the Governor's Award for Outstanding Teaching for the State of Missouri, Outstanding Dietetic Educator in Missouri and Ohio, Outstanding Teacher in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and received the PRIDE award from Southeast Missouri State University in recognition of her teaching.

Hubs finished this book quickly, and loved it. I read some of it and it's perfect for a first timer with no idea what to expect. As I was experiencing some things I was unsure about, he was quick to provide an explanation based on what he read. This book also provides insights for your partner, giving a slight heads up on what we're going through. Softens the blow, you could say. Your partner may feel obligated to read education books, but this one will actually keep them interested.

I bought this book for my husband and we both ended up reading it. I'm a first time mom and my husband was FREAKING OUT when he found out we were going to have a baby. This book really helped him get past the initial meltdown and see the joys that come with being a father (and even the potential business opportunities - he loved that part!). Highly recommended for anyone whose husband is still a little iffy about being a father.

Bought this for my boyfriend when we found out I was pregnant, and he said it was extremely lacking in information, and fhe author seemed to be way too focused on when he would get to have sex again, Instead of sharing my boyfriends concern with how to help me through pregnancy. This is a novelty book at best.

I read this book in addition to other similar books. It gave good insights, tought me what's coming, what I should know in advance. It helped become prepared and what I should or must do at each trimester and after birth. I give four stars.

Not fantastic but not terrible. I found quite a few grammatical errors and the author repeats himself a lot. There are better books out there.

My husband read this book throughout our pregnancy. He said that it had good information, but about halfway through the book he got tired of the language. He felt like it wasn't talking to him like an adult and too much slang.

Filled with tasty morsels of insights and ideas (like having a company massage day ... really page 206, right before the awe-inspiring unique suggestion of something called a "company newsletter" - groundbreaking stuff here!)The author also namedrops a bunch of recommended books, all by authors who happened to be living, giving public speeches, and promoting themselves ... I'm sure he wasn't expecting any kickback in the process ... no, not from a wall street hedge fund manager, that's not something he'd do. But don't expect any unique titles to hit this list. It's the usual suspects, Eric Ries, Peter Theil ... it'd be like going to a sci-fi conference and recommending Isaac Asimov to everyone ... gee thanks ...The one nice thing about this book (which is why it's a two star review!) is that since the text is so vapid of insight and depth, you can quite literally read it like some top graduate from Evelyn Wood's speed reading course. Don't worry, you're missing anything by going too fast, he'll repeat it again in 5 pages.But really, don't worry about it ... it's like 12 bucks ... won't be the worst 12 bucks you ever spent. Besides, he's not a bad author, the text actually is quite readable and there isn't much New Yorker style needlessly long stories without getting to the point.Not the worst the book I've read this year (and I'm writing this in February) but certainly not 5-star awesome, would read again!!!

Cliff Lerner has written a tremendous book for any person looking to build a high growth company. Between the storytelling and the tactical examples, this was a super helpful guide for sure!

Why is that, you ask. Because it has great tips and resources for the entrepreneur and for the rest of us clear and authentic explanations for what entrepreneurs do. When I met Cliff, I told him I didn't get why successful entrepreneurs would do it al over again. Now I do.
